Challenging the Giant
Morning photography in Tombstone can often feel like a bit of a chore. Most nights I ended up staying up to photograph northern lights, and getting up a few hours later for the sunrise often feels like a bit much. With that said, the benefit to sunrise photography here is the light cast on some of the park's more dramatic peaks.
On this particular morning, my hiking buddy and I ventured up a hill near the campsite to seek some reflections of the large and looming tombstone mountain. My friend was a good sport and walked his way down to the water to pose for a reflective shot. If you look closely, you can probably see him against the water as a silhouette.
Taken with a Canon 5DIV and a 70-200 f/2.8L ii. Processed in Camera Raw and Photoshop.
