Passing Light

Here's the view from Glissade pass in Tombstone Territorial Park. I've walked right past this view several times before, and never photographed it. This year I was determined to capture it. Usually I'm too tired to take photos here as this view comes after a pretty steep climb and it often feels like you're almost at your next destination. Usually I just want to finish the hike. In fact, if you look at the bottom of the image you'll see a squiggly black line zigzagging downward - this is actually the hiking path. Extra extra steep. Also, if you see my image posted before last (the one with the red backpack), this view is directly to the left of the person in that photograph.

Well, I'm glad I took my time this year, because as I looked down this view, the light on the valley continued to change, improving the scene. What a great spot.
