Living in the Margin
With all that crazy weather in the last few images I've posted, I thought I'd quiet things down here.
This is an interesting little scene I found last summer. I just loved how the lichen surrounded this really pretty section of bark.
Another fun fact: while this is a very quiet scene, it was likely one of the more dangerous images I've taken. Since I didn't have a macro lens with me, getting minimum focus distance on my best available lens meant my tripod had to be perched a little close to a near by cliff face. This meant I had a really hard time seeing the screen on the back of the camera for accurate focusing. Thankfully I got the focus (mostly) right early on and didn't need to leave the camera on the edge of a cliff for too long.
Taken with a Canon 5D IV and a 24-70 f/2.8L ii. Processed in Camera Raw and Photoshop
