Secret Garden

Sometimes exploring close to home can yield some really exciting and interesting areas. This was one such example where I revisited a place I'd seen a long time ago, long before I was taking photos with intent.

Oddly enough, my strategy to photographing the area was not unlike what I would do in the sandstone canyons of the US southwest - shooting in mid-day and hoping for reflected light, except in this case I was hunting green reflected light. The mossy and fern covered walls were actually pretty good for casting green reflected light on some subjects within the scene, making things feel even more eerie.

Anyway, a quieter scene for today, but one which I really liked. Taken with a Canon 5D and a 16-35 f/4L, with a Lee landscape polarizer. Processed in Camera Raw and Photoshop.
