And now for something completely different! Back in January I had the opportunity to visit Vancouver island. My first time on the island since 2001.

 

Wow. Boy, have I been missing out. It's probably hard to tell the scale here, but this root mass is the same height as me. The size of the logs and trees on this island are really astounding.
