Peyto Lake Spotlight

Peyto Lake takes this beautiful blue green hue which is accentuated when the sun is high in the sky, but nearly every photo of the lake seems to be taken to show it off. I tried to capture a slightly different perspective by shooting leading up to sunset. In this image I got lucky, just as the sun was dropping below the mountain, the cloud cover moved in to create a beautiful light pillar putting a spotlight on the trees below.
