red-headed woodpecker at Lake Meyer Park IA 116A1389

I'm happy to report that we have several pairs of red-headed woodpeckers nesting at Lake Meyer Park this summer. Twenty years ago there were no red-headed woodpeckers nesting here so this population rebound is encouraging to see.
