Now is the time to check out any wild or cultivated grape vines if you want to find one of these big orange grapevine beetles. They eat a few grape leaves and might sample a ripe grape or two but won't do any real damage to the vines or crop. Be aware that if you grab one of these guys in your hand, those claws are as sharp as a fishhook - ouch!
