I was pleasantly surprised to see another white-crowned sparrow here at Lake Meyer Park today. It was mixed in with a big flock of migrating sparrows that included mostly white-throated sparrows although I also saw a few song sparrows and Lincoln's sparrows along for the ride too. These southbound sparrows rest and feed on weed seeds during the day and then fly farther south at night.
