American robin at Lake Hendricks IA 653A6400
As I was walking through a wintery woods near Lake Hendricks today I heard a rather loud puzzling chirp and soon came upon this out-of-place American robin. It's been about a month now since most robins left the region and flew south to where the winters are much warmer. I guess this one is going to gamble on a rather warm winter right here - I hope it wins!
