oyster mushrooms (Pleurotus ostreatus) at Ludwig Park IA 854A8919

I'm almost positive that I've never found oyster mushrooms fruiting in November before, so this is a first! Interesting to note that their cap color is beige now in the late fall rather than off-white. They sure do match up well with the surrounding oak leaves. Fresh wild mushrooms from Winneshiek County for supper in November is another first for me - one little plus for climate change!
