Night Bloomer
This pinkish white flower belongs to the Stesonia Coryne, also known as the "Toothpick Cactus", for its long, thick spines, which can actually be used as toothpicks. It is from Northwestern Argentina, not a cactus native to the Sonoran desert. The flower blooms at night and last a few hours into the day. This was taken during early morning light, in my courtyard, west of Tucson Arizona.
