Sentiment analysis intents to classify the emotional content of a given text. There are numerous sophisticated techniques based on semantic analysis and machine intelligence that are capable of automating semantic analysis of large collections of texts. In our case, we look into a more simple and straightforward approach to analyze a collection of tweets.
Our approach is based on using two linguistic corpus as reference to count the occurrence of negative and positive words in the text, and then deduce the overall sentiment score.
