Barren But Alive Terrain

This particular part of the California coastline looked pretty barren and lifeless and definitely not inviting for beach basking considering the terrain. But these small oceanic tidepools that occur at low tide were absolutely rife with life; small anemones, starfish, crustaceans, sea urchins, small fish--all in a tiny little pool that was easy to interact with and view. © 2013-Current.
