Ferrari 599 - 7-wide - Lego

Welcome to this first of a couple of 7/6-wide models, which will all be leading up to something a lil bigger. These models aren't pin point accurate, some models more apparent than others, there more not-at-all-loosely-based on the cars.

 

This one, however, is probably the least loosely based. Apart from the front being a lil too squished and the bonnet too short, this one is pretty much 100% Ferrari 599, or as close as I could get. All these models came from one idea that inspired it, and the rest followed suit. In this case the inspiration came from Jonathan Elliott's brilliant 4C, which looks amazing, however looking closely at the light and boot it could also work as a 599. The model itself was a pit of a pain, the front especially, which was already designed, however getting everything connected was a whole new kettle of fish. After a lot of head scratching and intense HMMMMMMMing, everything is legally connected. 7-wide is a scale I've never properly explored, and while it has its downs, it also has much more space than 6-wide, that 1 stud makes all the difference
