A tactically timed lunch break nets me CrossCountry HST power car no. 43184 (43384) and 43366, running back-to-back on a Neville Hill to Derby via Woodhouse (into Sheffield) and the Erewash Valley route learning trip. Both EMR and CrossCountry had been undertaking diversionary route refreshers preparation for an upcoming closure of the Midland Mainline north of Derby, with these two doing the honours for CrossCountry for the past two weeks based out of Neville Hill.
