Mission 7.2: "Retribution on Ryloth"
DESIGNATION: Protector-018
NICKNAME: Galaar
RANK: ARC Captain Grade 1
UNIT: Vornskr, First Regiment, "Bralor's First", 253rd Elite Clone Legion
"It didn't take long for Jagserd Merad and his Zygerrian forces to appear, the presence of his approaching convoy given away by the massive cloud of dust left in its wake. Our objective was simple, remove Merad from the field and further isolate Wat Tambor, but accomplishing this was easier said than done. Merad a Zygerrian captain, had been waging a brutal fighting withdrawal since the complete collapse Separatist forces outside of the capital several rotations ago. As a result of his campaign Merad had taken a large number of Twi'lek civilians hostage and was taking them with him to Lessu. Their presence in Merad's convoy meant that we couldn't just strike it from the air, or drop the cliff ontop of them as they traversed the narrow canyon road. Naturally the Jedi Generals in charge of the Ryloth Campaign thought that if anyone could pull this off the 253rd could. After linking up with scouts from the local Twi'lek resistance we established an ambush site along a sharp bend in the road, the plan was simple use EMP weapons and Sniper fire from above to box in the convoy while I lead Vornskr in a frontal assualt . Merad's convoy would be trapped between a towering wall of rock and a steep drop into the void with no where to go and now way to maneuver. If everything went according to plan Vornskr would be able to close with and disable each speeder in the convoy one at a time, his heavy weapons useless as any explosion would risk dropping the convoy into the abyss bellow. As the convoy began to close with us blaster fire rang out from above disabling the lead speeder and causing the convoy to grind to a halt, I gave the signal and lead my forward rushing into the surprised Zygerrian soldiers. With no way to support each other the Zygerrian speeders and tanks were captured or destroyed one by one, the Twi'leks freed and the Zygerrians killed or taken prisoner. Ultimately the Zygerrians didn't put up much of a fight, the surprise and ferocity of our assualt proving to be too much for the slavers, who until now had seen little combat against Republic forces without droid support. Now all we had to do was identify Merad and let command know that our mission was a success."

Was going for a BTR-ZD look for the Landspeeder, and honestly it was kinda fun to build a sizable vehicle, though I'm not sure how well I would have faired if it wasn't a speeder and required wheels or tracks. I have a castle tower in the works and I'm hoping to get that wrapped up and posted before the new year, so until then thanks for stopping by and have a good one!
