Mission Albany

The Cotentin Peninsula, June 1944

"Mission Albany was the opening step to Operation Neptune, in which 6,928 paratroopers of the 101st Airborne division made their jumps from 443 C-47 Skytrain troop carrier planes into the southeast corner of the Cotentin Peninsula, roughly five hours ahead of the D-day landings. The airborne landings themselves were a complete failure with some units landing as far away as 20 miles (32km) from their designated drop zones. The mission itself was a success with the division taking most of its objectives on D-Day, but it required four days to consolidate its scattered units and complete its mission of securing the left flank and the rear of the U.S. VII Corps."

Currently working on a couple other scenes, so you can probably expect those in the future and I may upload an overview of this build later on, because the house pictured in this scene has to be one of my best builds yet.

As always C&C is appreciated and TFVAHAGD!
