LC21: An unexpected duel
Thomas approached Fort Maximora at the among a large host of both Loreesi men at arms and heroes,The bulk of the army was simply for show and to intimidate the outlaw filth. Only a small portion of the brave warriors would fight in the tournament and Thomas is among the few. Further down the road the mighty army came to a stop. Thomas made his way through the ranks until he reached his brother.
"Brother why why have we stopped?"
"A large group of outlaws and villagers have amassed blocking the road, one of these villains demands a duel."
"He should be more careful about what he wishes for."
"You cant be serious Thomas! The prince gave us specific orders to meet him at the arena and not to stop along the way."
"No he ordered you to meet him at the arena, not me..."
Thomas stepped forward and drew his sword and his brother disapprovingly shook his head.
"HA HA! FINALLY! The scorpion comes out from underneath his rock! Are you ready to die Loreesi scum!?!"
And with those words the outlaw rushed forward swinging an axe and a hammer like a madman. Thomas jumped to the side dodging the outlaws sloppy attack. Lashing out with his shield Thomas struck the brute in the back of his helm before he could rise sending him face first into the cobblestone. Retreating to the edge of the human circle Thomas waited for his opponent to rise. The outlaw stood and wiped blood from his broken nose.
"You'll pay for that you rat!"
"No I don't think I will."
Thomas lashed out agian but this time Loreesi steal clashed with iron as the villain deflected the blow. Both warriors retreated and began to circle each other waiting for the perfect moment to strike...
