Cryogenesis (LoLH)
Derek Shaw had it tough, because of his dad's job his family had to move around frequently, and because of his awkward nature he found it difficult to make friends. Whenever his family finally settled down in Liberty, the local school children found an easy target in Derek, due to his prominent lisp. Whenever he was called to the front of the class on his first day and told to state his name, it sounded like "Derek Thaw", and thus began the ruthless torment from his peers. They made endless jokes based on his lisp, and ice pranks due to him saying Thaw. After months of dumping ice cubes down Derek's back, the school children stepped it up a notch, by locking him inside the cafeteria cold storage at the end of the school day. He was in the freezer for hours before a janitor heard his screems for help. Derek lost every finger on his left hand because of frostbite, but his assailants only got a few weeks of after school detention. After this, Derek decided to punish them himself. After the bell rang at the end of school one day, Derek hit the main bully in the hallway and started running, the bully predictably ran after him. Derek purposefully took the bully to the cafeteria and ran into the freezer, and whenever the bully followed him in there and turned the lights on, Derek hit him over the head with a frozen can. He was knocked out cold, and Derek locked him in the freezer. The next morning the bully was found dead, and Derek was the first suspect. After sentencing he was sent to Juvy, where he earned a reputation among the other inmates for brutality, and after a few years, broke out with the help of an outside source only known as Hera. After Derek paid Hera back by doing a couple of jobs for her, he decided to hunt down the rest of the kids (now adults) that helped put him in the freezer, and exact his revenge. He took the name of Cryogenesis, and kept the cryo-tech that Hera had given him to complete her missions. He has the ability to freeze the water molecules in the air with his left hand, to shoot ice blasts, create a shield, or anything else he needs it to.
