(LoLH) Crimson Claw

Gareth Cassidy started crime at a young age to help his widowed mother pay the bills. As he grew older, crime became more natural to Gareth, and he found himself in debt to a number of the most undesirable crime lords. He took up the mantle of the "Killer Claw" while paying off his debts, and continued to be a hired enforcer afterwards. One fateful night when the Killer Claw was going to take out a rival crime operation for an employer, the Crimson Cloak intercepted. The Cloak gave The Claw a final warning to surrender, or else he would be taken down. Gareth refused, and a bloody fight ensued. When the dust settled, Crimson Cloak was covered in cuts head to toe, but he had subdued the Claw, with the opening to kill him. The Cloak was too pure of heart to kill Gareth, and left him to the police instead. Gareth used his time in prison to reflect on his choices, and felt regret for what he'd done. Some time later, when a jailbreak occurred at the New Brickton Correctional Facility in which he was housed, Gareth took the opportunity and escaped, but only to track down and return the other prisoners. When it was revealed that the Crimson Cloak was missing, Gareth continued tracking the escaped prisoners under the new name the "Crimson Claw", to honor the man who still gave him a second chance, and in his eyes, saved his life.
