We walked across the valley to the old farmhouse opposite and, to my surprise, the old knife which I photographed last year on 18th January 2018, was still stuck in the gate, rather faded but otherwise unchanged. The yard of the derelict buildings is being used to house kids (baby goats) by the local goatherd who were very pleased to have company.
