I Have Missed Too Many Sunrises

Virginia Beach, Virginia, on a fine November morning.

Upon waking up that day, I realized that I was missing a great opportunity and shot this very quickly from my hotel room balcony. It proved to be a key event as I decided then and there, "Never again!" on sleeping in and missing these moments.

 

My favorite comment from below is, "Looks like you missed this one too by about 45 minutes!" Leave it to British humor! Humour?

 

I recently found the RAW file for this shot on an old memory card and re-processed it with Capture One Pro; looks much better now. Never lose your RAW files, ever. In May 2019 my then-10 year old iMac hard crashed. I lost many of my older RAW files. Needless to say, now I back everything up with external hard drives, including a second one in my safe. Highly recommended technique!
