EUROPEAN ROBIN (Erithacus rubecula)

I was hoping to have some unusual visitors to our garden during the recent cold snap. However, unless they popped in when I wasn't around, we only had our regular callers. One of which was this lovely robin. There is a belief that when robins appear - loved ones are near. This alludes to the belief that robins are messengers from the 'departed'.
