Nikon D80 vs D7000
This comparison of my D7000 vs D80 really has me scratching my head. These combined shots are hot out of the cameras with the settings shown on the notes. The D80 has a 10.2 megapixel sensor and the D7000 is 16.2 megapixels, which accounts for the image size difference, I believe. Ignoring the D7000's miserable job at figuring out the white balance under a pretty tough condition (a single candle providing the light), I would easily declare the D80's product the winner here. I am now wondering if the D7000's noise reduction (NR) software was part of the problem. Certainly not what I was expecting on the low end of the ISO range.
