Fire Eel

So here are my efforts with the new plunger toy at Shedd Aquarium. Many of these shots were helped (or hurt) by strong manipulation in PS. On the whole, I was happy with my limited skills and patience was able to capture. This environment was pretty tough to shoot: no flash, no tripod (I did not bring one -- they are possibly permitted but not very usable), and lots and lots of humans on the wrong side of the tanks. I think all in this series were shot with a Nikkor 50mm 1.4G with the ISO jacked up pretty high on a Nikon D80 (the limitations of the CCD sensor are apparent). Enjoy!
