Layers of Death Valley

I barely dipped my toe in this park but expect to return. The color shot was not working for me but I liked what I saw in monochrome.

 

The geo tag is a best guess. I remember being 10 miles detoured off the highway and crossing the California-Nevada border. I am more sure that I took the northern road to the park off of the highway and not the southern.
