Cry ~ Feb BJP, beading detail
This is a detail of my BJP for February. In the center is a tear of sadness. In the tear is a picture of Mom that I took while visiting her a few months ago. She is surrounded by my love.
Technical information:
The background fabric is wool felt.
The picture is printed on archival paper with archival inks. There is no glue. It is attached to the felt by small stitches right through the edge of the picture. Using my "barnacle" technique, I made a raised and slightly inwardly slanding border to hide the stitches.
Size 8, 11 and 15 seed beads. Pressed glass beads. Antique flower sequins. Antique abalone buttons and abalone bird, hand-dyed flower trim (thanks to Pam Stec).
