Waterfall & Skunk Cabbage

Bead Journal Project for April, 2009. Bead embroidery on two fabrics. A stream, dry in summer and fall, becomes a miracle of water falling over moss-covered rocks in the spring, as skunk cabbage hoists its unfolding, primordial leaves through chilly, muddy waters of a temporary pond. Every day this month, we pause on our daily walk to breath these new beginnings.
