Practical joke German dime novel

Practical joke German dime novel, Prinzessin Übermut (The Fresh Princess, or Princess Audacious, Princess Arrogance, etc.) No. 345, circa 1920, Eine Serie lustiger Backfischstreiche (A series of funny schoolgirl pranks), Die Geisterruine (Spirits of the Ruins or Ruinous Spirits or Poltergiest), Die Geifter der Ruine hatten den Louristen gefeffelt (The Poltergeist had tied up Louisten). By Georg Streicher, published by Mitteldeutsche Verlagsanstalt, Heidenau. I learned that "Backfisch," an adolescent immature girl, comes from the old German fish fry, or baked fish, an interesting metaphor beginning in the late 1880s. Usage that I imagine: "The class included the usual bosses, sycophants and baked fish."
