Where do I come from?
One of the indigenous tribes of southern Africa are the San formerly known as Bushmen. They were hunter gatherers and were thought to have died out. They were little in stature and move with the grace of the hunter. While in Calvinia I noticed many small statured people and looked more closely. There they were, the San, in their 21st century incarnation. I was most unfortunate and probably thoughtless because this man was standing near the car for ages and I did nothing about photographing him. Too late as we pulled off I pulled out my camera so the shot I took was horrible. Thanks to a texture I think I have captured the essence. He was waiting for his woman to bring the drink. Obviously down and out with nowhere to go but a street corner.
