Majesty- Emmett Till
Hello my friends. My post today is in remembrance of Emmett Till. My own thoughts and feelings about his brutal demise that happened in 1955. That number looks old but it really isn't. Not old enough to heal the wounds of what took place. A 14 year old beautiful life that never got to reach full potential.
I dedicate this post to express the heartache, sadness, disbelief, & rage I felt when I first came upon his story and read about his life and his death. There is no words that can express the grief I have felt over his death. I wanted to show those feelings in my own creative way today.
This comes about as recent news posted in the media as of yesterday brought about another revelation. One that i am not shocked to hear about.
If you are a sensitive soul or one in denial about the awful injustice that has taken place in this country throughout these years my post most likely will not be one you would be interested in. Not everyone will agree with me.
But, I hope that one day tragedies like this will not occur and no matter how long ago an injustice has been committed that the wrongs that can be fixed will. We cannot forget as we all know history forgotten will repeat itself. Thank you my friends and have a blessed weekend, xoxo Ebony <3
