Witnessing the Emergence of the Giant Swallowtail
Focus stack 45 images.
I had the privilege of witnessing a truly magical moment in nature: the emergence of a Giant Swallowtail from its chrysalis. This majestic creature, after undergoing a remarkable transformation, spread its wings for the first time, ready to embark on its new journey.
To capture this extraordinary event in all its glory, I used a technique called focus stacking. By taking 45 different images, each with a slightly different focus point, and then combining them, I was able to create a single image.
