Tornado Probe
This is the probe Tim Samaras used to capture his spectacular tornado footage.
Each window has its own high-resolution video camera and audio channel. Thanks to the probe's conical shape, a tornado's fierce winds actually push the 80-pound steel object into the ground, holding it in place. However, the probe does come through a tornado a little worse for wear.
