Portal: Shepherds' Fields

Right outside of Bethlehem, on the way to Jerusalem, lie the Shepherds' Fields. This is where I decided to sleep. In the middle of the night, I woke up to see the red sky. In that moment, I heard the hissing sound of a snake and I felt enveloped by an imaginary snake inside my sleeping bag. There was an erotic element to it. I felt as if I was being wrapped by the warm love of a woman, sensually caressing my body, and making me lose myself. As soon as I was being overtaken by the sensations, a pack of dogs came running and started barking endlessly. I jumped out of my sleeping bag and climbed a tree. I stayed there for what seemed like an eternity. The dogs left and I resumed my sleep but I kept hearing them around the field as if they were patrolling the grounds. They seemed to be very well coordinated as I recognized the sound of the barks moving from place to place. As I got close to hitting deep sleep, I was again woken up by the same dog. He was intent on not letting me sleep. Did he know something that I didn't?
