Ugh. I hate having to wait for stuff. I was born fast. Really fast. Unfortunately, that means everything around me is slow. Even my sister, Wanda. Everybody still seems normal, but most of the time, they take foreeeevvvvverrrr to do stuff. The reason for this happening, is because we are what the goodies (and the not so goodies) call "miracles". I'm really fast, and my sister can do all psychic stuff, like telekisomethingsomething, and other stuff. She is still discovering her powers, though. Veeeeerrry slowly. Did I say the world moves slow for me? Oh yeah, I did. Personally, I don't like the term miracles. It makes us sound like Gods. It'd be a miracle if they stopped using the word, but that's not gonna happen. It's actually just mutated stuff inside of our bodies, and other sciencey stuff. You know, we should probably be called mutan-
"Officers, a huge explosion just went off at the bank down at the corner... Oh my God, it's the Frightful Four! We're gonna need some backup, pronto... Nevermind, Thor just knocked them all out with his hammer... Keep on with your duties, men..."
Damn it, thought it was going to be something for us. As I was saying...
"Officers in the area near Avengers Tower, some men have gotten away with some stolen goods, and are making their way across the top of the buildings . No supers are on hand, we need someone, ASAP."
"You know what that means, don't you Pietro..."
"Of course I do... Suit up, and let's go."
We put on our suits and headsets, and we took the stairs to the top of the building.
"Ok, so we can see Stark Tower from here, so that means that... Ah, there they are!"
"Wanna give me a boost, sis?"
"Don't call me sis..."
She launched me over to the buildings behind them, and I was off. Thought this was going to be easy, but it wasn't. As I reached the end of one of the buildings, one of the thugs dropped a sticky bomb.
"Pietro, watch out!"
The thug blew up the sticky bomb, knocking me back a bit. He had based jump to a building not far from me, but I wouldn't be able to make the jump.
"Got you covered, bro."
"Now I see why that's annoying."
She arranged stepping stones out of the exploded bricks for me to use. I leaped onto the first, and dashed across the rest of them. Near the end, I jumped from one of the bricks, and kicked both of them in the back of their neck, since the idiots were running next to each other. Wanda flew down next to me.
"Let's clean up, shall we?"
Wanda took the men, and dropped them off in front of the police, while I sped past the museum where the artifacts were stolen from, sending papers flying. I don't like being subtle about my powers.
