"Stormy" Fleet

Needing a departure from the swamps and alligators....we traveled South down to the Louisiana Gulf Coast on Saturday hoping to find assorted shore birds, pelicans, & colorful shrimp boats.

The clouds, squalls, & storms surrounded us all day.....yet never got close enough to ruin our time there.

In the area of Fourchon (pronounced foo-shon) Louisiana, there's a huge complex of offshore oil/gas companies ports/maintenance docks/construction yards, etc. that supply/service the Northern Oil Fields in the Gulf of Mexico.

Saw this fleet of supply boats and noticed their names......

Most vessels have catchy/colorful/funny names....but not these.

I believe that I'd be a bit superstitious if I had to travel in this group.....

Thanks for droppin' in.....and have a great Saturday everyone !

Enjoy your 4th of July Weekend.
