Cliche, yet irresistible . . . (1/13/07)
I know this is completely cliché, but I have always wanted to take a long exposure water shot. Hey, at least this wasn't over rocks and in black and white like almost every other photo of water I've seen.
This is one of the fountains in the courtyard of our office complex. My boss's office looks directly onto it (lucky!). I was finishing up yet another day at work (on a Saturday, no less :( . . . only 9 hours this time, though . . .) and as I locked up the office for the night, I heard the sounds of the water. They hardly ever have it on at night. I can only assume that it was because of the forecasted frozen temps, but freezing temps were my lucky photo op. If Mark had not been with me, I probably wouldn't have braved the scary, dark courtyard alone to get a bunch of long exposure shots.
The footprint of the fountain is a circle with one half raised for the fountain ledge. It's simple and very attractive, although it could use a good cleaning. That green is all real. Yuck!
