Noh Noh Players

Saturday afternoon at Fairy Tale Town for R's second birthday.

 

These are two of the Noh Noh Players. The group put on three different plays. Noh is a traditional Japanese theater style. I'd had never seen theater this way before, but even as adults, C and I enjoyed it. And R remained riveted and engaged the whole time despite the terrible twos raging through his tiny body. They did a wonderful job.

 

I got pretty lucky with this shot coming out at all as it was the only one I took during the performance. I should have taken more, but even without a flash (which was prohibited anyway), I felt all too conspicuous with my camera in the second row.
