California Lighthouse
This was the first stop on our bus tour of Aruban sites.
Although it stands on a hill called Hudishibana on Aruba's northernmost point, the California Lighthouse was named after the U.S. ship "California", which sank off the the coast of Aruba in 1908 (two years before construction of the lighthouse began). The 100 foot high tower is made of stone blocks hewn right on the island.
And if you look closely, you'll see Gail heading away from the paparazzi (moi)!
