Captain Scarlet battle damaged Angel interceptor
The final product, a battle damaged Angel interceptor from the Gerry Anderson show, Captain Scarlet.
The Angels, and the Angel Interceptors, protect Cloudbase (the series world peace keeping organisation, Spectrum's main base, situated 40,000 feet up on a hovering aircraft carrier in 2068) from any attack, as well as acting as aerial support in any mission if needed. They rarely got damaged in-series, but when they did, it was always spectacular like any Derek Meddings explosion.
Those that have been following the progress of this know that I started this because, when going through storage, I found I had a smashed up 2001 Vivid Imaginations Interceptor that was, for all intensive purposes, useless with the rest of my Angels. What to do? Destroy it more! Hence the fire, explosions, etc.
Fire damage was done by squirting black paint over a particular area, that smearing it in one direction. The flames and smoke, meanwhile, where sculpted and initially painted orange, then later on had black paint smeared across them.
