My final concept, beauty around the world, is about how even though the way people look from around the world may be different it is still considered beautiful. The concept focuses mainly on the similarities and differences between all the cultures and how the one word “beauty” is can be portrayed in different ways. I was really interested in portrait photography so I decided to mix the culture aspect with the portraits and try to turn it into fashion photography. I also wanted to show how even though people may be different they are still beautiful in their own way.
In order to illustrate the differences and similarities of beauty I took some simple pictures with unique poses and elements. Each image has its own mood and tone. One photo has a mysterious look but it is beautiful because of the way the eyes seem to be telling a dark history. (Photo 1) I also wanted to show how in some cultures beauty is shown thorough perfection. (Photo 2) I wanted to show that beauty can be simple but unique. (Photo 3) Showing the differences in natural beauty and caked on makeup beauty is something I wanted to illustrate in taking the pictures. (Photo 4-5). Each one of the pictures shows how beauty is unique in other places in the world and though it may be different it is still considered beautiful.
