SOLO PHOTO BOOK MONTH 2010 – ITS STARTED
It has arrived. SoFoBoMo 2010. I imagine that many people have already started with their projects. I wish you all luck. In my last post about SOFOBOMO I was looking to have a theme based around Colombia in South America. But due to the fact that I have just moved back to Australia from Colombia I have had to come up with a new theme. So what am I going to do? Well, seeing I havent been home to the Gold Coast in Australia for around 3.5 years and also wanting to improve my landscape type photogrpahy, I have decided to create my book around land, sea and urban scapes of the Gold Coast. This should keep me busy and I hope I can produce some great shots.
As to how am I going to produce my e-book. Well I have downloaded the open source desktop publishing software called Scribus. So for the last couple of weeks whenever I have had a chance. I have been messing about with this software to try and learn how to use it.
To help out any others looking for resources for Scribus and books in general here is what I have been looking at:
Scribus Desktop Publishing Show Me Do Videos
Now its just a matter of deciding which locations Iam going to focus on and then getting out there and shooting it up. Wish me luck!
