Custom Shimmer and Shine Dols from Kawaii Crush
As the Nick Jr TV show Shimmer and Shine show is still new and there is no merchandising out for it yet, I undertook a custom doll project for my daughter to have her own Shimmer and Shine dolls. I used Kawaii Crush dolls as they had large heads and hair colour similar to that of Shimmer and Shine. If money was no object in this project then I would have had more opportunity to buy different dolls or reroot another type of doll for the project. Other dolls could include strawberry shortcake dolls, la dee da dolls, starlight darlings, shopkins shoppes or blyth doll from the littles pet shop. I think this project is best with a doll that has a large head as Shimmer and Shine in the tv show have fairly large heads, and if not rerooting and you can find a blond hair doll in the same doll then you could make Leah as well.
Also if you decide to do this doll project keep in mind the age of the child, as my version has small beads which are not suitable for young children under 3.
