R.L. Ireland tow downbound MonR Pittsburgh, PA 4-10-2007.

15 years ago today, April 10, 2007, I had the great pleasure to ride along with the crew on Consol Energy towboat, the R.L. Ireland. We had 6 loads of coal in tow headed down the Monongahela River approaching the Liberty Bridge, Panhandle Bridge and Smithfield Street Bridge. This is an early morning view. These coal loads would be set off at Pittsburgh Landing, and 2 others picked up and taken north on the Allegheny River to the Cheswick power plant.
