Black Skimmer Solo

This picture shows the asymmetric beak lengths of the Black Skimmer. The lower beak is longer than the top so it can skim just beneath the surface for small minnows while the upper beak stays above the surface. Picture taken just North of Bear Island Game Management Area SC
