Anhinga

The Anhinga can also be found in parts of Africa, including sub-Saharan Africa, where it is known as the African Darter. The African Darter is similar in appearance and behavior to the Anhinga found in the Americas, with a long, slender neck and sharp bill used for catching fish and other aquatic prey. Its plumage is also dark brown or black with white patches on its wings. The African Darter is commonly found in freshwater habitats, such as lakes, rivers, and wetlands, throughout its range in Africa. Its ecology, behavior, and conservation status are of interest to researchers and nature enthusiasts in Africa and around the world.
