I wish this were a happy story
When I first saw this rabbit I thought it might be a leucistic wild rabbit. But a closer look (and it let me get really close) revealed that it's a domestic rabbit. Considering its location, it was probably brought there by a human and released. Sigh. It doesn't have survival instincts, or it wouldn't have let me get right next to it. Usually rabbits are abandoned after Easter, not before. Either way, this one is likely to be a nice meal for a coyote.
