"The New Heir" by Raffaello Armenise, 1500 pieces, MB York
This is from the series dated 1963. I also have a copy of the version issued in MB's "Old Masters" series dated 1966. It is also 1500 pieces, and is very, very, very similar. There is a slight shading difference, and the MB identification is slightly different and in different corners. At first look I thought the cut was identical, but I tried interchanging pieces and they wouldn't quite fit. Wonderful silky finish and a clean fit, it's a beautiful puzzle.
