"The Pioneer Trail" 1000 pieces, Big Ben,
Found this in a thrift shop, I think it's from the 1950's. It's definitely older than the Big Bens I have from the early '60's. I was disappointed about the missing piece, but not terribly surprised, as the box was pretty beat up.
What really struck me was the cut, with all the square pieces with no knobs or holes. Before I started I decided to see how many of those there were, and there are 213 of them, counting the missing one. Needless to say, the puzzle didn't hold together very well when I was putting it together. There are 5 horizontal rows of knob-knob-hole-wavy edge that hold it together, and vertically there are some alternating knobs and holes. There is also a seam down the middle that has no interlocking pieces at all except the edges.
